Un dimanche après-midi à Paloma Beach, St. Jean-Cap-Ferrat

dimanche, le 28 août

To celebrate the last Sunday of the summer (school starts tomorrow!), we headed to one of the loveliest spots around, Paloma Beach. Nestled in a cove not far from the port of Cap Ferrat, Paloma Beach offers comfortable lounge chairs, a delicious restaurant, and fantastic service (the waiters are always walking past and ready and willing to take food and drink orders, or adjust your umbrella as you so wish).  It is a snazzy place and the people watching is endless.

A place to see and be seen!

If you are interested in walking off some of the delicious french bread rolls you devoured during lunch, Paloma also offers a perfect starting point to walk a section of the trail known as, A Walk on the Wealthy Side (South of France, Provence & the Cote d’Azur, TimeOut, 2006). The trail goes on for several kilometers, but this leg takes you around the perimeter of the peninsula of Cap Ferrat to another beached called Plage de Passable. The walk offered a great view, nice breeze, and some small hills to help you stretch your legs after aforementioned lavish lunch.

As you can see, the trail follows a rocky coastline

Luxury yachts are everywhere, this is not the time or place to hold back from splurging

fantastic view along the coast facing east, the direction of Monaco

returning back to Paloma for a refreshing dip after the long walk

Time for some beauty sleep. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
